Tiger's Quest (The Tiger Saga #2)
Genre: Young Adult
Pages: 543
Published: November 1st 2011
Author: Colleen Houck

Format: Paperback

Summary from Goodreads:
In the third installment of the Tiger series, Kelsey Hayes pushes through the pain of lost love and strengthens her friendship with Kishan. Despite his strong feelings for her, Kishan has agreed to be her ally in helping her reunite with the man she still loves. Together, they seek to help Ren regain his memory and begin the search for the third magical gift—an object of power that will help break the curse that causes them to live part of their lives as tigers.

They board a luxury yacht and seek Durga's aid once again, who supplies them with her golden weapons. With Nilima, Mr. Kadam, Ren, and Kishan at her side, she soon learns that the task ahead will be even more difficult than the others. Confronting a dark magician, multiple dragons, and terrifying denizens of the deep seems easy when compared to facing the daunting task of stitching up her heart. Just when she thinks she's ready to set her feet on a new path, she is yanked back with a jolt to the one she's determined to leave behind.

The jarring tug-of-war that ensues for Kelsey's heart leaves her anxious and confused. Combined with the stress of almost being killed every other day, it would appear that saving the tigers is almost more than she can handle. Still, she presses on, knowing that a choice is looming on the horizon. One she cannot put off making for long.

Tiger's Voyage is an irresistible romance with a barrage of action on the high seas, where a reader will find a treasure chest full of dragons, sea monsters, knights in shining armor, fabled weapons, and enduring love. The tropic waters of India create the backdrop for the latest installment in the tiger series. This novel, a multicultural take on the classic Beauty and the Beast tale, delves into the complex emotional turmoil and pressure associated with not only making the best choice for a nation but also the best choice for yourself.

My review:

Cover:
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL! Tiger’s Curse cover was the one that really got me thrilled to read the series. The tiger looks so beautiful. Usually, I’m very scared of tigers but seeing the cover made me love them. The adorable blue eyes really represents Ren! Kishan in the cover of Tiger’s quest was depicted very well as a black tiger with golden eyes. I loved it. I did not love Tiger’s Voyage cover as much as the first 2 books but I still loved it and it really depicts the dragons in the story!

5 Forget-me-not flowers for the all 3 covers!
Story:
I have wanted to write a review for this series for quite a while. I am utterly speechless. I wanted to find the right words to say and how to express my feelings for this book. Then, I decided to write a review when I’ve read the third book which was Tiger’s Voyage. First of all, I have never read a book like this before. Not with people being cursed to be tigers. We’ve read werewolves everywhere in books these days and wolves have become a not very appealing paranormal theme to me. When I first found the book, I read the summary and it intrigued me! Set in India? An Asian country? A prince with a curse? How cool is that?! So I had to read it. I have been to Asian countries and I can say that Colleen writes the description of India very well! I won’t bother summarizing the story but I really enjoyed the adventures, particularly in book 1 since Ren was a 'harmless' man who truly loved Kelsey. By the end of Book 2, Ren became such a heart-breaking character and in book 3, I felt like shaking his body so hard to bring him back to who he used to be. When he did, Kelsey was the one who have changed. I feel so sad for Ren. I have always been Team Ren from the first but Kishan is also such a sweet and patient guy, I feel sympathy for him too. Houck is a very talented author. She has never been to India nor any Asian countries but her descriptions of the country and the adventures happening in this book is very detailed that I can imagine being in India and having adventures with a 2 princes cursed to be tigers! Her descriptions give me vivid images of what it is like to live in India and I can never get enough of the romance. I simply hope that by the end of the series (2 more to come out), Kelsey would have made the right choice.

Characters:
Kelsey Hayes is a wonderful character that I can fully understand and connect to.  She never thought she would be spending her life trying to break the curse of the 2 princes she came to love. I particularly liked her relationship with Ren rather than Kishan. I wanted her to choose him but of course, the choice is up to her, or more precisely, up to the author? :P Her strength, her powers, her beauty and her love reflects the goddess, Durga and this is why she calls Kelsey her daughter. I adore her for that and her love for the 2 prince was very true. She cries a lot in the books, I feel sad for her. It’s tough, isn’t it? Being faced with 2 boys who love you and you will definitely break one of their hearts when you made your choice.

Ren, what can I say? He’s a character I have wished a thousand times to exist in this world somewhere. His love for Shakespeare, his good looks, his blue eyes, his charm, his sweetness, his romantic actions captured my heart entirely as I read this book. As much as I love Kishan too because of his patience, his love, his differences with Ren, I still choose Ren. I wanted him to be happy. I also say he deserves Kelsey way more than Kishan because he practically met her first, sacrificed something really important of him to save her and although he had treated her coldly sometimes, it was for her sake. I wished Kelsey understood that.  I truly enjoyed reading about them and their journey as they get one step closer to breaking the curse.

Overall:
Cursed Indian Princes, an epic journey in India with 2 gorgeous-looking boys accompanying you? Count me in! I loved everything about this book, especially the creative blend of Western and Asian culture. I never read a book like this before, which makes me even treasure this book more! Absolutely can’t wait for the next books, Tiger’s Destiny and Tiger’s Dream. Tiger’s curse has also been optioned by movie companies and I can’t be happier than this! I am truly curious of who they will pick for the casts, particularly Ren, Kishan, and Kelsey!
