Summary from Goodreads:

With three of the goddess Durga's quests behind them, only one prophecy now stands in the way of Kelsey, Ren, and Kishan breaking the tiger's curse. But the trio's greatest challenge awaits them: A life-endangering pursuit in search of Durga's final gift, the Rope of Fire, on the Adaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal.
It's a race against time--and the evil sorcerer Lokesh--in this eagerly anticipated fourth volume of the bestselling Tiger's Curse series, which pits good against evil, tests the bonds of love and loyalty, and finally reveals the tiger's' true destiny once and for all.
Cover:
The covers in this series are always absolutely GORGEOUS! And this cover is just breath-taking. I love the green theme of the cover and how the phoenix looks really fierce. The flame surrounding the phoenix looks really realistic too! Love how the cover represents book really well!

Story:

Are we bound to follow destiny?

Tiger's Destiny is the breath-taking sequel to Tiger's Voyage and is also the fourth book in the Tiger Saga. The story follows the events in Tiger's Voyage and begins with Kelsey's moments after she is kidnapped by Lokesh. From the very first page, I am transported back to the exciting world filled with adventures, dangers and captivating romance. And I must not forget to say hello to the Princes, a.k.a the TIGERS! So, this is the final quest in breaking the Tiger's Curse. Kelsey, Ren and Kishan must travel to the Himalayan mountains, find the Rope of Fire and to do so, they will encounter lots of enemies and face different challenges.

Like in Tiger's Voyage, there is a significant animal that Kelsey, Ren and Kishan encounter in their quest; phoenix! Okay, so I have to admit, every time I think of phoenix, I think of Harry Potter. I just can't help it. I kept on imagining that bit where the phoenix burns and it's absolutely fiery. The phoenix depicted in this book is really fierce as well. The mythology depiction in this book is as usual, very vivid, unique and interesting! Plus, Colleen's writing is as usual, very fast-paced and filled with actions. I cannot put the book down at all. The development in this book is quite huge since this is the final quest in breaking the curse, but not the final book in the series. The romance or shall I say, the love triangle is still mesmerizing. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the ending (and I'm not going to spoil you because it is such a HUGE SPOILER if I do!) but I think you guys will be happy and/or sad with it!

Characters:
Kelsey is still an amazing heroine. She fights, she has amazing powers and she is nearly like the Goddess Durga. There are times when I feel really annoyed with her because deep down, she knows she is in love with only one of the princes but acts as if she loves the other one. She made her decision about halfway through the book and all I can say is: FINALLY! But what I love the most about Kelsey is her unconditional love for the Princes and how she is willing to sacrifice herself to break the curse.

Onto the Princes! Ever since the first book, I'm absolutely Team Ren. His blue eyes, his sweet and caring personality, the way he quotes poems and Shakespeare, it's SO SWOON-WORTHY! Meanwhile, I am intrigued by Kishan but I don't really like him that much in this book. He seems too easily distracted by 'other girls' and I feel sad for Kelsey. But then, something huge happened and I feel really sad for Kishan too.

Lokesh, the evil guy! I hate this guy with passion. He is hundreds of years old, practically ancient but tries to make himself look 50. Sorry Lokesh, no matter how you look, you're just ancient so please stay away from Kelsey and the Princes. Anyway, the characters are as always, really well-written and awesome!

Overall:
Tiger's Destiny is the fourth breath-taking novel in the Tiger Saga. In this last quest to break the Tiger's Curse, can Kelsey defeat Lokesh and choose between the Princes? From the very first page, I was transported into the adventurous world of Tiger's Destiny, met fiery phoenixes and was captivated by the mesmerizing romance between Kelsey, Ren and Kishan! (Although personally, I'm TEAM REN!) Really can't wait to see how the series ends in Tiger's Dream, coming out next year!
5 Forget-Me-Not flowers for Tiger's Destiny!
Thank you Hachette Australia for the review copy!

  1. Hey Celine! Everyone's raving about this series. In fact, I think I haven't read a negative review of this at all. I bought the first book a long time ago but still haven't read it yet because I'm worried about the love triangle. Everyone seems to favor Ren though (and so do I, from what I read from reviews), so I guess that says something. I love characters that quote Shakespeare so yes, I'm definitely on Team Ren now. :)

  4. Celine, can you believe that I haven't read this series yet?? It sounds phenomenal though, and all the love interests sound so swoon- worthy and brilliant! I'm very pleased you adored this book, and so I'm thinking that I'll most likely read it soon. :) Fabulous review, my dear! Your reviews keep getting better and better..

  5. One time, when my family left me at a bookstore (because they went shopping haha), I chanced upon these books. I browsed through them. And although I was intrigued, I didn't buy... because I was broke. =)) But hearing you like this makes me regret not forcing my mother to buy it from me =))

    Great review, Celine!

  6. I was a HUGE fan of these books... but then I stopped after the second one. I have no idea why I didn't continue! It sounds like it is still going strong, which is great to hear. I don't think I realised how much I missed Ren and Kelsey until reading your review! :)

  7. I haven't read any of this series yet but I hear really good things about it. The thing that keeps me away is the love triangle. Good to see you enjoyed this so much Celine. Great review. :)

  8. "Sorry Lokesh, no matter how you look, you're just ancient so please stay away from Kelsey and the Princes." Hahahaha, CELINE <3

I keep hearing such good things about this series! It sounds like such a fun, adventure-y type thing (my brain is so fried from essay writing, can you tell?). And I love that you feel so strongly about one of the love interests - there's a good sign! :D

Anyway, clearly this entire review was specifically designed to break me and force me into starting the series. You mentioned Harry Potter AND highlighted the beaaaaauuutiful covers? You know my weaknesses ;)

Thanks for the superb review, Celine!!
