Summary from Goodreads:
RAPTURE, the fourth & final FALLEN novel, is the Lauren Kate book the world has been waiting for.

The sky is dark with wings. . . .

Like sand through an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past, they must find the place where the angels fell to earth.

Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again. Yet together they face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed.

And suddenly Luce knows what must happen. For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now is the only one that truly matters. In the fight for Luce, who will win?

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer

Cover:
Absolutely gorgeous. I love how the girl's dress is white, compared to the covers of the Fallen series where the girl in the cover wears black dress. I love how the white represents something, a change and how the series is finally coming to an end.

Story:

Heaven can't wait any longer...

Rapture can be summarized into one sentence for me: a beautiful exhilarating ride. As soon as you start the book, you directly join Luce and the other angels as they are about to have a final battle with Lucifer and the Fallens. It's been a year since the last book, Passion, came out. Honestly, Passion didn't quite hooked me into the story compared to Fallen and Torment, mainly because Passion was all about Luce getting her memories of her past lives back but Rapture was very different. It hooked me from the very first page and didn't let go until the last word of the book. It was just that amazing.

In Rapture, we discover new things, originating back to the days where the angels first fell to the earth and the origins of Luce and Daniel's curse. The new things unraveled in this book completely took me by surprise. It made everything more sense and connected the whole series together. I loved how all the characters are gathered in this book, trying to find a way to stop Lucifer and although there are sacrifices that shall be made throughout their journey, Luce and Daniel know that nothing must stop them to win or it will all be for nothing.

One thing I really loved the most about Lauren Kate's books are her detailed descriptions and portrayal of the angels. Angels felt so real throughout the whole book and the way Lauren Kate describes when the angels' wings unfurled was very entrancing. Not only that, she wrapped up the whole book so beautifully that I was not prepared to part with this amazing series.

The epilogue made me teary. It was splendid. I'm so glad that everything was resolved.

Characters:
I truly admire all the characters in the series, particularly Luce and Daniel. They both have been through a lot and were not able to freely love each other for thousands of years because of the curse. When Luce discovers the truth about herself and the one who puts the curse on her, I was surprised because it was not who I expected at all. Daniel was also amazing. Although at times he often doubted if they can survive the final battle, Daniel never stopped believing in Luce and their love. Reading the Fallen series made me believe that love is a very powerful thing and no measure of time can beat love.

The other side characters like Cam, Roland, Gabbe, Molly, Annabelle, Ariane were great characters as well. They were prepared for this final battle and were very supportive to help Luce and Daniel break the curse. I felt sad for Cam because his bond with Luce was quite damaged. Cam tried to make Luce trust him again but Luce found it difficult because he betrayed her once already.

Oh and there's also Lucifer. Let's just say Lucifer is more than just evil!

Overall:
Can Luce's and Daniel's love withstand the final battle? Rapture is a beautiful conclusion to the Fallen series. This gorgeous book was an exhilarating emotional ride and made me believe that no measure of time can beat love. Fans of Fallen series will definitely love Rapture!

5 Forget-Me-Not flowers for Rapture!

  2. You might throw me with rock now, Celine, because I haven't read any book in the Fallen series! *hides myself in shame* It seems like you really enjoyed this series! I heard mixed reviews about the first book so I decided to pass it, but maybe I should rethink my decision! Your review definitely convince me to give Fallen a shot someday! x)

Awesome review as usual, Celine! <3

  3. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Like you I wasn't impressed with Passion. I couldn't even finish it so I gave up on the series. Maybe I'll just skip to this one. I also was bored by Daniel but I love Came. Great review!

  4. All of your Aussie bloggers are making me more excited for this book than I ever was! Passion wasn't a great hook for me either because I spent most of the book either confused or being frustrated with Luce. But my love for the first two books (and CAM! <3) were what I wanted to read Rapture for, and now I can add your review to the list! :D I want to see how Cam tries to regain Luce's trust again because he's my favourite! :') (Yes, I'm a fan of the bad boy underdog LOL)

Such an amazing review, Celine! I'm so pumped up to read this!! :) <3

  5. Oh fantastic review, Celine! I SO agree with you on the epilogue, it was really beautiful conclusion and there definitely some tears in my eyes when I closed the final page too! Some of the twists I suspected, others a total surprise! Love finale books when everything is fully out in the open and finally makes sense. But oh.. Cam! I wish there we'd known MORE in the end <3 Regardless, great end to the series :)

  6. Amazing review, Celine! I'm so glad to hear this is a great book to end the series with. Although I'm not a huge fan of these books, I have read all previous three and liked them, thinking they got better and better. Maybe the final instalment will be the one to blow me away? ;) Regardless, I can't wait to find out what happens to Luce and Daniel. Again, great review! :D

  7. Wonderful Celine. I have been tempted to pick this series up but haven't gotten around to it. It seems like people love it or hate it and it is nice to read the review of someone who truly appreciates the series. The covers are all to die for I am so glad this book was a satisfying conclusion. Now I just need to find time to read these books.

  9. I really like the cover for this one too and the point you made about the dress changing colour. I didn't notice that! I've only read Passion from this series (haha of course I pick the book that's not the best in the series) but I'm glad this was such a satisfying end. Fantastic review, Celine!

    CELINE.
YOU KILL ME. The Fallens series has its ups and downs for me (I REALLY didn't enjoy Torment), but I just... I care. I HAVE to know how it ends, and how it's been happening, and I HAVE to have the happily ever after between Daniel and Luce. YOUR REVIEW. OMFG. I am so so SOOOO excited! ♥
